Jim Russell Foundation

In 1983, MO-AG established the foundation, which was later renamed the Jim Russell Foundation in 2008 to honor Mr. Jim Russell, former executive director, long-time supporter, and a leader of MO-AG.

The Jim Russell Foundation invests in future agribusiness leaders of Missouri.

Jim Russell Foundation Scholarship

The Jim Russell Foundation provides scholarships to college agricultural students and donates to agriculture education organizations, including Agriculture Future of America (AFA), Agricultural Leaders of Tomorrow (ALOT), 4H, and others.

Applications are due in December of each year and are awarded to the student during the spring semester of the following year.

We invite all winners to our Annual Summer Meeting in July to be recognized.

Applications are due (must be postmarked) Monday, December 15, 2025. You may also email your application to the email address listed below.

Requirements:

  1. Must be attending a college in the state of Missouri.
  2. Must be a college junior or senior.
  3. Must be majoring in a field related to agriculture and intend on pursuing a career in agribusiness.
  4. Must have a 3.0 Cumulative GPA.
  5. Must not have received the Jim Russell Foundation in a prior year

* High school seniors, college freshmen, and sophomores should not apply. This is because the older students have so much more experience, making it hard for younger students to compete with years of activities.
