Interim guidance from CDC
The CDC has provided updated interim guidance for implementing safety practices for critical infrastructure workers who may have had exposure to a person with suspected or confirmed COVID-19, as well as an informational flyer which should help the most critical workers serving on the front lines to quickly return to work after potential exposure to someone with COVID-19, provided those workers are symptom-free.

U.S. Coronavirus Stimulus Bill
The U.S. coronavirus stimulus bill would add $14 billion to the Agriculture Department’s Commodity Credit Corp spending authority, and authorize another $9.5 billion for U.S. farmers hurt by the fast-spreading pandemic, according to a copy of the bill’s text.

Missouri Department of Transportation
MoDOT’s initial permit to allow trucks to haul up to 100,000 pounds on interstates, other highways, has been updated to include fertilizer. Click here to see the updated language.

The American Trucking Associations
ATA has a helpful website for a variety of federal and state changes and closures, including driver license agency operating status and CDL extensions. For state-by-state information click here.

American Seed Trade Association
ASTA is aware of additional restrictions that are being introduced at the city and state levels and the association is working multiple avenues, including USDA and the White House, to ensure that seed sales and movement will continue as close to normal as possible.

Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services
As commercial testing capacities increase, the coordination of patient and associated contact investigations is paramount to preventing and mitigating the spread of the virus. While performing public health priority activities, including notifying the patient, and raising awareness among our communities is valuable. American Feed Industry Association (AFIA)
AFIA Calls on States to Keep Animal Food Businesses Open During COVID-19 Response
The American Feed Industry Association, along with 23 state and regional feed and grain associations, called on state officials around the country to maintain access to businesses providing animal food amid proposed state plans to close “non-essential businesses” to curtail the spread of the novel coronavirus disease.

Governor Mike Parson directed the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency and the Missouri Department of Economic Development to seek assistance for Missouri businesses through the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Economic Injury Disaster Loan program.

transporters, wholesalers, importers, brokers and retailers. TFI members provide plant nutrients that are responsible for nearly half of the world’s food supply. The fertilizer industry supports nearly 500,000 American jobs and has an economic impact of over $130 billion annually.
