As a sponsor of an approved event, there are several responsibilities you must meet:

  1. Ensuring the agenda and list of presenters adhere as closely as possible to that pre-approved by the State Board. Major discrepancies between pre-approved and actual activities may cause applications for future events to be rejected.
  2. Ensuring that only those individuals who are present for the duration of the activity receive continuing education units. A sign-in sheet is required to verify attendance at the beginning and end of the event. Sign-in sheets should be supervised at all times to ensure that individuals only sign in for themselves.
  3. Send to the Missouri State Board a list of participants who were present for the duration of the event and are, therefore, eligible for continuing education units. The list should be legible and include name, CCA number, initial in and initial out. Please include the course name and approved course number on your correspondence. You may request a formal sign-in sheet from the Missouri CCA office.
  4. Courses with multiple sessions need an application form and sign in sheet completed for each session. This allows for a simplified review process and an easier allocation of continuing education units. In addition, it assures an individual that he/she will be able to obtain the maximum number of hours for the events attended.

In order to avoid application processing fees, please submit one original and three copies of your application including program agenda and instructor credentials. On behalf of all Missouri agribusiness professional who believe that continuing education is the key to achieving excellence, thank you for your active commitment to this educational program.
